We went to bed Sunday night and it was snowing.
I said to Nathaniel, "wouldn't it be nice if you had a snow day tomorrow?"
and he did - as did the rest of London because all of London city transport was shut down due to the 8 inches of snow that fell over night.
The park was alive with activity, young and old were enjoying this rare occasion. I am told the last time there was so much snow was 18 years ago!

and to think, you are there! Yes, we heard all about the snow, infact Papi and I viewed all 158 photo on the internet depicting the London snow; he, of course, was intent on those riding bicycles in the snow; we examined each wondering, "could that be Nathaniel?"
love that top picture, Abi!
you can tell Papi that I will not let Nathaniel ride his bike in the snow!
I was sick in bed, Nathaniel went out with the camera before anyone got out to the park and got that awesome picture - he has an eye for things like that.
I was just outside London for Christmas '96 and we had a little snow but nothing like that. Is the Thames frozen over? That was the really weird weather phenomenon that year.
I love these pictures. Did you take them looking out where you are living. I was in DC this past week but no snow.
Hope all is well.

The pictures are from the second story front window looking out across the street. I love how they are of exact same tree line - but show totally different scenes.
My older brother is in London and Chris and I are now in Italy!! What are you doing in snowy london? Come for a visit whenever you want to/can!
